What is SG Arrival Card?

SG Arrival Card is an electronic document provided by the government of Singapore through the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). It helps to reduce unnecessary delays at the immigration office and helps you to reduce the time when applying for the entry documents.

The Electronic Arrival Card must be presented by any traveler from any country upon arrival and it was created with the purpose of replacing the D/E Card.

Normally, since you apply for SG Arrival Card you will have 14 days to enter the country. However, you can apply now, forget about that limitation and get everything done in time.

Requirements for SG Arrival Card

Before applying for the Singapore Arrival Card prepare the following documents:

  • Valid passport: at least 6 months from the date you arrive in Singapore
  • Accommodation: Details of the place you will stay at, the address of your hotel…
  • Transport: Dates of your arrival and departure, the information about your flight
  • Email address: Be sure you introduce correctly your email address because you will receive the file in your inbox
  • Payment: an available debit or credit card

You must be aware of submitting the electronic arrival card does not guarantee to enter the country. Depending on your national passport you will be asked to show a visa upon your arrival and you will be able to stay in the country up to 30 or 90 days. However, arriving in Singapore with your own copy of the Electronic Arrival Card will always ease the process with immigration officers.

How to apply for SG Arrival Card Online

In order to get your SG Arrival Card you must follow this easy process:

  • Introduce correctly all your personal details such as your valid passport number
  • Introduce the details of your valid credit or debit card
  • You will receive an email with the Electronic Arrival Card

Important information before crossing the border of Singapore

The consumption, possession, trafficking, import or export of any unauthorized drug is considered an offense to Singapore’s Misuse of Drugs Act, being trafficking punishable by death.

You will be required by law to report with the Form NP 727/A/B/C if the total value of the currency and/or any instruments you are carrying exceeds SGD 20,000 (or similar amount in a foreign currency).

If you carry any item or package and you do not know what is inside, you must declare it at the Red Channel.

If your travel document is issued by one of the countries below, you will need a visa to enter Singapore.
